Formed in 2003 , Sussex is one of thirteen regional zones of the Canary Colour Breeders Association , a specialist society that promotes the keeping , breeding and exhibiting of colour canaries, in a sound , ethical and healthy environment.
This unique hobby is enjoyed by people of all ages , from all walks of life and all levels of experience are catered for .Described as the 'friendly zone' new members are assured a warm welcome.

The Sussex Zone has a full calender of events including guest speakers at Zone meetings , our annual barbeque and also promotes two annual shows. Our Young Stock Show is held in October and the Annual CCBA Zone Show ( a firm fixture on the exhibition calendar) in November.
Sussex Zone members have annexed many top awards both at local and national level and in 2005 won the John Woolford Zone Trophy at the CCBA All Colour Show, the most prestigious colour canary exhibition in the United Kingdom.
